Dan Limoges became the Sheriff of Union County in March 1990. He has been in law enforcement for over seventeen years, starting out as a police officer and then police chief for the City of Alcester before becoming a deputy sheriff for Union County. Sheriff Limoges is active in the community through membership in the Lions Club, Union County FOP as well as membership in the South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association. As Sheriff of Union County, Dan oversees a staff of twenty-two including seven deputy sheriffs and a fifty-three bed jail. Dan is married and has two children.
