Arlo “Bruce” Madsen began his law enforcement career in January 1975 in Jackson County. In January 2005, he will have completed thirty years as the Jackson County Sheriff. Back in the “Good old days” he had one or two deputies but for the last fifteen years he has been protecting and serving Jackson County and its citizens on his own. Jackson County has 1820 square miles which includes fifty miles of Interstate 90. He is a second generation law enforcement officer succeeding his father who was the Town Marshall for Interior and also Deputy Sheriff of Jackson County. Bruce is married and has four children, two foster children and three grandchildren.
