William “Bill” Clarkson was elected Sheriff of Harding County in 2002. He is married to Shirley and has two children, Reese and Melissa. He attended Casper Jr. College and later transferred to Northern Arizona University at Flagstaff Arizona. He graduated with a B.S. in Police Science. He was employed with the Flagstaff police dept for 21/2 years before returning to the ranch in Harding Co. in 1971 where he currently resides. Sheriff Clarkson attended the Law Enforcement Academy this past summer and upon graduation received the "Top Gun" award and "Most Inspirational" award.
