Larry Hanes took office as the Sheriff of Haakon County in January 2003 and has a career in law enforcement spanning over seventeen years. Sheriff Hanes previously served as a deputy sheriff for Haakon County and a police officer for the City of Philip for thirteen years. He is active in the community and has been involved in his local ambulance service for over eighteen years. As Sheriff of Haakon County, Larry has one deputy sheriff to assist him. He is married and has two sons.
