Kurt has been the Faulk County Sheriff since Sept. 2004.  He also has six years of Sheriff experience in Hand County, SD.  As Sheriff, Kurt administrates 2 Deputies, 5 Dispatcher/Jailers, and 1 Administrative Secretary.

Kurt is married to Karla, has 1 daughter (Kadye), and 2 twin sons (Kent and Kyle).

Kurt enjoys, fishing, hunting, helping his kids with their 4-H livestock projects, working with cattle and putting up hay in the summer.
