Keith Gall took office as the Sheriff of Corson County in February 1992 and has been working in law enforcement almost 20 years. He is very active in the county seat of McIntosh through his membership in the McIntosh Community Club, McIntosh Volunteer Fire Department, and the St. Paul Lutheran Church board. Sheriff Gall has been known to sing for local weddings, funerals, as well as other community events. He is a current member of the South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association, having served as President of the Association in 2009, and a member of the National Sheriffs Association. Sheriff Gall is also a Taser Instructor and instructs surrounding area law enforcement in Taser Use and Policy. Prior to becoming Sheriff, Keith was a radio announcer and worked for area farmers and ranchers. As Sheriff of Corson County, Keith oversees four employees including two sworn deputies and a K9 drug detection dog. Keith also oversees a 72 hour holding facility with nine beds. His office works closely with many state and federal agencies as Corson County is located on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation.
