Keith Olson took office as Sheriff of the Codington County Sheriff’s Office in January 1995. Sheriff Olson has worked in law enforcement for over twenty four years, all of which have been spent in service to the citizens of Codington County. Sheriff Olson is a member of several law enforcement organizations including the South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association, National Sheriffs’ Association, American Jail Association, and the Fraternal Order of Police. As Sheriff of Codington County, Keith oversees a staff of nine including five sworn deputies and managing a seventy bed jail.
